I also had Arch + Awesome. But I got frustrated with the constant syntax changes in awesome and finetuning Arch to work with wine took too much time. So I reverted back to Ubuntu...

You have a pretty nice setup!

Thats why I never consider Awesome to be an alternative. :) WMFS is simple to config and easy to use, it let me focus on the work.

What stuff are you runnning via Wine?

Huh? Not awesome, but WMFS? Didn't know about this :).

There's only one program that requires wine: foobar2000 (The greatest audio player).

Sure Linux has a lot of alternatives, but fb2k can 'save play_count, First_played, Last_Played and Rating into the file'.

For that single feature, I'm forced to use fb2k through wine.
